During my time working as a WordPress Theme Developer at EverestThemes from 2018 to 2020, I built and maintained a collection of public WordPress themes from the ground up for the official WordPress.org theme directory and commercial marketplaces. Rather than relying on pre-made templates or third-party page builders, every theme in this suite was coded from scratch using clean PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while following official WordPress Coding Standards.

This combined theme portfolio includes four primary releases built for bloggers, journalists, and digital publishers:

  • Gucherry Blog & Gucherry Lite: A modern, Gutenberg-compatible blog theme series featuring custom banner sliders, post format layouts, custom social and post widgets, RTL language support, and child-theme architecture for lifestyle, travel, and personal bloggers.
  • Grace Mag: A responsive news and digital magazine theme built around the WordPress Live Customizer, giving editors flexible homepage widget areas, breaking news tickers, advertisement spaces, and multi-column category layouts.
  • Wishful Blog: A clean, minimalist editorial and personal blogging theme focused on typography, fast load times, and straightforward theme options.

Across all four projects, I collaborated directly with UI and UX designers to turn wireframes and mockups into responsive layouts that hold up across mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. I built custom theme options directly into the native WordPress Customizer API, developed companion plugin functionality for one-click demo imports and custom widgets, and wrote thorough setup documentation for end users. Every release went through strict GitHub version control, data sanitization and escaping checks, cross-browser testing, and speed and SEO optimization to pass the official WordPress.org theme review process and power thousands of active websites worldwide.
