Nepalese in Tech

Nepalese in Tech (nepaleseintech.org) is a global community created to connect Nepali software engineers, designers, founders, and technology students working in Nepal and abroad. Working on this as a freelance project, I handled the visual branding, the complete Discord server setup, and ongoing community management to give members a well organized place to network and share knowledge.

Before launching the community hub, I worked on the logo creation and visual identity so the group had a clean, recognizable mark across its website, social profiles, and server icons. From there, I built the Nepalese in Tech Discord server from the ground up. Because a growing tech community can quickly become noisy without clear structure, I organized dedicated channel categories for programming discussions, career advice, job referrals, project showcases, and mentorship.

To keep the server secure and easy to join, I configured automated member onboarding, verification rules, and role permissions based on tech stacks and experience levels. Beyond the initial technical setup, I also handled ongoing community moderation and day-to-day server management, welcoming new members, keeping discussions helpful and spam-free, and supporting community events for Nepali tech members worldwide.
