Course eCommerce and student enrollment platform built from scratch on WordPress for Sterling Wells Education Group in Nepal, featuring Fonepay, Khalti, and eSewa payment integrations, web hosting setup, and speed and security optimization.
Sterling Wells Education Group is an ACCA Approved Employer and professional learning provider in Kathmandu, Nepal, offering ACCA classroom and online courses in partnership with BPP London. During my time working at Sterling Wells, I built the sterlingwells.edu.np course eCommerce website from the ground up on WordPress so students across Nepal could browse accounting programs and enroll online.
I started with the complete web hosting and domain setup, configuring the server environment, DNS records, and SSL certificates to give the platform a stable and secure foundation. From there, I planned the page strategy and built dedicated course catalog pages, program breakdowns, and lead generation pages tailored to students looking for foundational, skill, and professional level ACCA courses.
Because students in Nepal rely on local digital wallets and banking apps to pay for tuition, a major part of this eCommerce build was setting up local payment gateways. I integrated Fonepay, Khalti, and eSewa directly into the checkout flow so students can purchase courses and complete their enrollment online without friction. Once the platform went live, I handled ongoing website maintenance, server and application security setup, and Core Web Vitals speed optimization so course pages loaded quickly across mobile and desktop devices. I also worked alongside the SEO team to configure Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager, making sure search traffic, course views, and student payment conversions were tracked accurately.
